so for my 1st post i wanted to do something really yummy, but for dinner last night we had what has become a St. Patrick's Day tradition. we had shepherd's pie! now that is yummy, but i wanted it to be something fun too. so i'm posting pictures of our dinner last night, AND my mom's famous Monster Cookies!!!!
here is the dough, which to those cookie-dough-lovers out there, is almost as good as the cookies themselves!
and now for the finished product... scrumptious!
Monster Cookie Recipe:
3 cups packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups margarine (3 cubes)
3 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Cream first 4 ingredients, then add-
3 1/2 cups flour
3 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix well, then add-
1/2 pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 pkg. butterscotch chips (opt)
1/2 pkg. m&m's
Bake at 350° for 12-15 mins.
*for bars: spread in bottom of 11x17 cookie sheet
and cook for approx. 30 min.

and of course the green jello
our green milk and green homemade bread!
Shepherd's Pie Recipe:
1 1/2 - 2lbs hamburger meat
1 can corn (or frozen)
1 can peas (or frozen)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Cook hamburger meat and mix with can of cr. of mushroom soup.
Spread on bottom of 9x13 pan. Put veggies on top of meat,
and spread mashed potatoes on top of that.
Put in oven to warm it all up for about 15 - 20 mins.
sprinkle with cheddar cheese and melt (if desired)

YUMMY! I wanted to do a St. Particks day/Green dinner, but it didn't happen. Maybe next year I can be a cool mom like you =)
